Prophysys, Inc., Professional Physician Systems, was founded in 1998 by Newton Bullard, M.D. in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Dr. Bullard is a practicing Internist, who was looking for a solution to help physicians more thoroughly document the patient encounter in a timely manner and meet the proposed Federal Government documentation requirements. His electrical engineering background led him toward an electronic solution, voice recognition and touch-screen technology.
